Berryhill Farm, Fowlis, Invergowrie

An imaginative architect and a stunning location make Muirfield's Berryhill homes very desirable indeed.

Muirfield converted the old stone farm buildings into 14 high quality homes, making full use of the vaulted "cart arches" and wide steading doors to create huge windows and attractive entrances.

The steadings contain spacious, modern flats within buildings of stone and slate, which fit the landscape perfectly.

There are also four new five bedroomed houses, designed to complement the steadings and reflect traditional local architecture, and a fully renovated cottage.

Bringing nineteen new homes onto a site which is 150 years old required extensive new drainage systems and 600 metres of roads. Muirfield has a track record in civil works on a much grander scale (for example at the Overgate Centre) and Berryhill presented no difficulties.

"The easiest way to build houses is from scratch on a Greenfield site, but Scotland has a heritage of stone built farms, churches and schools, which may no longer be suitable for their original purpose. By combining buildings from the past with modern design, we can create beautiful homes with real character. We've certainly had no bother selling Berryhill" - Muirfield

"Providing beautiful homes with beautiful surroundings."
